What this does: When ON, the home screen shows a small segmented ring tracking how many entries you've logged this week against a goal you set. Tap the ring to change the goal. Resets every Monday.

When OFF: the goal pill is hidden from the home screen.

What this does: When ON, voice dictation uses Whisper Large v3 Turbo (via Groq, with OpenAI Whisper as automatic fallback if Groq is unavailable) for materially better accuracy on UK EM language (drug names, anatomy, acronyms). Audio is sent securely in short ~15-second segments for transcription only — never used for training, never stored. Transcripts appear in the textarea as you speak, not only when you tap Stop.

When OFF: falls back to browser-native dictation. Words appear live as you speak, but accuracy on clinical language is markedly worse.

What this does: When ON, reflections are stored on secure UK servers linked to your account, so you can open them from another device (e.g. phone → desktop for your ePortfolio).

Your duty: do not sync reflections that contain patient-identifiable information. Turning this on is explicit consent under UK GDPR Art. 9(2)(a).
